About the Event

As thou dost love to forgive thyself no matter what thou hast done, love to forgive others as readily. To those who criticize thee and wrongly accuse thee, knowingly and deliberately, give love unflinchingly. Let them be shamed by the steady gift of thy love in return for the poison they gave unto thee. Try to change them by thine unconditional love.

— Paramahansa Yogananda

On April 20, Swami Pavitrananda Giri conducted a group meditation, which was followed by a discourse in Tamil, on an important spiritual quality — forgiveness. In this discourse, Swami Pavitrananda drew upon the insights from the How-to-Live wisdom of Paramahansa Yogananda and charted out important guideposts on the path to forgiveness. We need to let go of hurt, heal ourselves by releasing our pain, acknowledge that no one is perfect and everyone deserves another chance, and manifest unconditional love which is an expression of God’s love. Meditation is the cornerstone of the spiritual life that opens all the closed inner doors of your body, mind, and soul to admit the surge of God’s power including forgiveness.

This talk was live-streamed on our website and YouTube channel.
